Service packages defined at the platform level are marked as standard packages.
In addition to standard packages, the contractual user can create custom packages. Custom packages are defined in the following ways:
- At the level of the contractual user, and then assigned to a specific location of the contractual user and used on work orders.
- At the level of the work order, where they are then designated as custom packages at the contractual user level.
Such packages can be further assigned by the contractual user's administrator to a specific location, allowing them to be reused on work orders.
Standard service packages are copied to the contractual user level and to the location level, where prices and quantities for specific items are defined as needed.
- A standard service package is assigned to the contractual user and their locations all at once.
- A custom service package created at the contractual user admin level can be assigned to the location level. Prices are NOT defined at the contractual user level but only at the location level.
- A custom service package created at the work order level is immediately assigned to that work order and displayed as a suggestion to the contractual user. If the contractual user does not assign it to the location level, none of the technicians will be able to reuse it on work orders.
In summary, there are three types of packages:
- Standard
- Custom at the contractual user level
- Custom at the contractual user's location level
All of this is aimed at ensuring that the service package can be utilized on a work order.
